The story behind FAMA E GUSTO
Our name might sound like the Italian words for fame and taste, but it holds a much deeper meaning for us. Inspired by Famagusta, the name of the chef’s parentsβ restaurant, a tribute to the place where our chef’s culinary journey began. From a young age, he learned the heart and soul of cooking in his mother’s kitchen, where every dish told a story of family, tradition, and passion.
Today, we bring that same dedication to πππ π π ππ¨π¦π§π’, blending unforgettable flavours with a legacy of love for food.Β Join us for a taste thatβs as rich in history as it is in flavour.
Good Food Starts With Good People
At πππ π π ππ¨π¦π§π’, we have always believed that the people behind the food matter just as much as the food itself.
The Pourikkos family has been a familiar name to us for years. We knew the family, we knew their craft, and we knew the quality of their meat. So when we started πππ π π ππ¨π¦π§π’, choosing a butchery was an easy decision. From the very beginning, we knew it would be A. POURIKKOS CONCORDE BUTCHERY LTD.
Working together brought us even closer. We shared an appreciation for good food, traditional flavours and keeping things local. And around Limassol, Pourikkos is very well known for their pastourma sausages – a flavour that has become closely connected with their name.
As we spent more time sharing ideas and talking about food, something started to take shape. We started wondering what we could create together.
And that’s where the story takes another turn…
The Local Legend
Pourikkos pastourma has become something of a local legend around Limassol, known and loved for its distinctive flavour and its place in the city’s food culture.
So when we decided to bring that flavour into the πππ π π ππ¨π¦π§π’ menu, we wanted to honour the name that already carried it. Working together with Pourikkos, a special patty was created for the burger – bringing their famous flavour into our own street-food kitchen.
A familiar taste. A local friendship. A little piece of Cyprus, made our way.
